A line for the dying

A line for the dying

A Poem by Freedom's Child

What do you say to a dying man, good luck on the other side?

I've seen many faces go from here to there,
there's terror in the eyes when about to see the other side.

There's no escape for them to find and no words to be said that can ease the eyes.

So for all you about to die and you never know that may be you,
may I give you the lines below:

If I know you or not, it's all the same from here
I shall say to you this is no dream
All you see and all you feel is for sure most real
This place for which you lived so long
is soon to be considered far from home
If you lived to know there must be one greater
You should fly free of fear
If you lived like your GOD
The fear you feel is the fault of your own frightened mind
This should not be your coming of the end
but rather the beginning of the best to come

I hope I eased your mind with the lines above
I'm sorry you don't have more time.
