The time I want back

The time I want back

A Poem by Freedom's Child

Blunders that I made
Mistakes that I didn't
People that I agonized
Thieves I didn't bruise

Waves that crashed where I was not
Snow that transcended while I was away
Rainy days that I stayed away
Full moon nights when my eyes were closed

I could have laughed
I should have cried
I didn't strive
I couldn't let go

I should have given my love
I should have let her love me
I should have screamed
I shouldn't have shouted

These are the times that crowd my mind
These are the times that vacate my spirit
These are the times that seemed to last
These are the times that were way too fast

These are times I won't get back.
