midnight blues

midnight blues

A Poem by Maya Luna
"

Playing with words while burning jasmine incense and listening to blues.

"

the ecstasy of the wait

hovering between dark and irridescence,

wanting the jasmine scent

that brings the purple visions to my soul.

rusted dreams and chocolate kisses

mean nothing if danger doesn’t dance along,

liquid hues and wonderland infinities

merge with endless streams of light and rose.

moonlight blossoms through my mind

rhapsodies play through my soul,

sweet rain of agony stirring echoes

that melt within but never die.

colors sleeping, shadows that run

at the first light of thought, and sighs

that creep along my fractured hopes

infused in memories of midnight blues.
