A wistful piece of poetry I wrote a while ago.
Reading books always makes me wish I was in them!
"I yearn for places no man's been to learn of things that are no more and taste the fruits no man has seen and waste my years in wondrous lore and wonder at the lightning's flash and thunder in a foreign sky and look as swords of masters clash from books I've read in years gone by and sail ships on unknown seas from tales where unsung heroes rest their wand'ring done their voyage cease and pond'ring now what they love best. I yearn for places no man's been to learn of things that are no more in ages where the grass is green and pages where the words are doors."
I think you're an old soul that has seen many past incarnations... so many that the veil thins for you and you remember, yet not knowing you are remembering, so it feels like a yearning rather than a memory. I look forward to getting to know your through your writings. This was a lyrical read. Loved it.
Awesome. I can totally relate. There has been so many times when I wished I was in a book! And yeah, brilliant choice of words! And I looooove the rhymes. Haha. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Keep on writing. ;)
“We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are MEMBERS OF THE HUMAN RACE. And the human race is filled with PASSION. And medicine, law, business, engi.. more..
