House for a Home

House for a Home

A Poem by Michael Opoku-Addo

Finally, I will leave my house for my home,
leaving the old neighborhood, I was all alone.
An old era of my life is ending
but it will be the new people on which I will be depending
to move on, to a better time of my life,
to start over, maybe find myself a wife.

They're not going to weigh me down,
I will find something better than living with clowns,
who talk in their secretive little meetings,
to rude to insensitive to even give me a greeting.
Always deliberately left out, can't take any more,
now I don't have to on Brighton's shore,
bright sunny beaches, more polite people,
not with egos as high as a church steeple.

In conclusion, don't let these people have effect on you,
because you are not dirt on the sole of someone's shoe.
you are your own person, you should be proud,
So let it all out, SHOUT IT LOUD!!!!!

No, I wasn't promoting Brighton with this poem, I went there once for a day. Please don't forget to review with honesty.

I love the last verse, it gives all the sense to the poem. I went one day on the sea side of Brighton, it was lovely.

Keep on the good work!
