One More For Love

One More For Love

A Poem by Save the Trees, Save the World
"

A poem I wrote ages ago...despite the title its really depressing

"

It's been a year now

There's a darkness she can't push through

You see her dying

And you don't even care

Razor at here wrist

She screams at you:

One for treating me cheaply

Two for you little stint

One for cutting me deeply

Two for sying what you meant

One for flying freely

Two for when you went

And one more for love

The world is cold and it laughs at her

Biting words, judgemental stares

Her heart is a closed door

She screams as her skin tears

One for treating me cheaply

Two for you little stint

One for cutting me deeply

Two for sying what you meant

One for flying freely

Two for when you went

And one more for love

The room is spinning

And she isn't winning

One last shove

She whispers:

One more for love

I love it

Wow...

Thats not complex, or delicate, or long, or profound, but it is deep nonetheless and powerful.

Breathtaking, to be honest...

It kind of makes me think of "Kiss Off" by The Violent Femmes only... better:s

Kudos:P

Great write *snap snap snap*
