Suicide

Suicide

A Poem by Meagan
"

This is a subject I used to write about a lot because my life has been so surrounded by depression and it's effects. Ironically, this poem I wrote around 2001/2002 about a girl I worked with who overdosed but in 2005 my brother passed from the same metho

"

Losing hope
Losing faith
Losing yourself
Losing face.

There is love around you
There is strength surrounding you
There are prayers said for you
There are people who care for you.

So don't lose hope
Don't lose faith
Don't lose yourself
Don't lose face.

But you did lose these things
You took them from yourself
You gave in to fear
You gave up on love.

Now we say goodbye
We pay our last respects
We settle our tears
We will love you still.

Ver sad piece, beautifully written. Depression is so powerful, logic and reasoning, common sense, even massive love, cannot stop it's wrath. It is a mental sickness. Remember only the good..the laughter..for all the rest was not that person you loved. A beautiful tribute. I'm so sorry. Rain..
