i'll Be All Right Without You

i'll Be All Right Without You

A Poem by Mario Vitale
"

A love that will not let me go

"

I'll Be All Right Without You

we made it through the valley's to reach the peak
for it is in truth that we seek
cold hearts bleeding in the night
hauntingly leaving behind a doubt
a drop in the bucket
we pulled together are resources

long ago and so far away your guitar played for me
the record would spin are favorite song
you left me & went your own way
spaces with traces with midnight faces
to much pain in my heart
you cut with words deep

shadows block the decorative emblem but you were still in my memory...
in my journey alone,
but I'll be all right without you
feeling borrowed, bruised & used
the flame evoked passion within my heart
as soon I would discover
you were once my lover but no more lest I implore
only yesterday when I was sad and lonely
you took my breath away
I'll walk my beaten path with my head held up high
thoughts of love with a sparkling radiance intact
the strength within me will soon discover
I can go on without my lover
