Timber

Timber

A Story by Angelove
"

Shallow breathing, stunned to the core. I have to convince myself I'm still alive.

"
The cold air hit my lungs, forcing me to cover my mouth to protect myself from freezing. Was the cold the only thing I was going to feel? Forever? snow stuck to the ground covering and color left over from summer, no summer left to provide comfort of change. Change is what I needed, change from this perpetual twilight zone called winter. I couldn't see past my pain, the pain that swelled inside from past trauma, trauma that kept building up and up, and up.
Was there no end? End to the pain that caused me to be stunned to the core, help me escape this pain I feel.
Car lights swirled past me, leaving me hazed, as I walked along the never ending road. Snow sneaking into the tops of my shoes leaving my ankles feeling numb. No I can't wait to get out of here. No I can't
Find me nowhere, and everywhere. Where you'll be, waiting for me to find my way back home.
