Gone

Just like that they're gone

Spiraling down a hole of

Pitch darkness

They're gone

Like a stone falling down steps

Just to meet the concrete floor

And as it splits

It wonders how it

Happened

Like a just hatched

Baby bird learning how to fly

It jumps

But doesn't flap

It kicks and chirps

But no one is there to hear it's

Cries

And then it's gone

They can call

And you don't understand

What it says you just

Hear a buzzing as you reach out 

To grab them but fear of 

Losing them again delays you

You hear the split

And the cries

But they're gone
