Smile

Smile

A Poem by MeghanMillie

Sometimes I smile
Even though the dam of tears are burning my eyes
I smile
My fault
Sorry I was stupid
They smile
The sad and completely lie soaked smile cuts open my face again
She has such a nice smile
What else nice about me?
Why can't these shadows of my pitiful life answer my only question?
I love your smile
Such a nice smile
You have an amazing smile
Do see the real smile?
The ones carved in my flesh
So bright and lovable
My smiles make me smile
But when they see those smiles the lies turn into probing questions
What are those?
How could you do this to yourself?
I thought we raised you better?
I smile and smile and smile again
Because no one wants to see you frown

I love this... So real and emotional, raw. This is great!
