Liar

Liar

A Poem by megyn j
"

I wrote this one a while back. I don't really know how to describe it.

"

the story sounds the same every time it’s told

lies bleed from your pores as you try to deny your deciet

bearing witness to false claims she closes the last door that lies open

the inner screaming begins once again

the mask adorn for protection hides the reality and truth

she calls out once more but the walls she built were too thick

no one can hear her pleas

as she stumbles through the captivating darkness

eyes closed

limbs bound by inconsistance

the words are like swords in her ears

and in her heart

as the pain fills her mind

hearts keep time

but time is quickly slowing down

moments beat rhythmically past

as each tear from her heart another brick is added

to the walls keeping her in solitute

false conidence hides her insecurities

but in the end

she’s alone.
