Aspire

A Poem by melanie j bean
"

The massive power of God's love in my life and the wonderful support of my family inspire all my work. this poem was taken out of lines in my book "Absolution in the Wilderness" that I am currently writing.

"

Aspire

I can still hear the great

movement of the briny deep

crashing out of the past and

into the present, as I immerse

myself in the oppressive silence.

I searched for answers

in the commanding sunrise.

where is my kindred spirit, my friend?

In the blink of an eye

I witnessed the twilight

descend like a purple blanket over the land.

It has taken me a long time to get here,

a place where I believe I am worthy of something.

I Aspire to know what God has sealed as

I arrive at the platform of humanity without slipping.

Beautiful! I have waited a long time to get to that place, too. You are worthy. Very much so!

There are some wonderful images here, it feels incomplete but as you say it is part of a larger work.
I like the idea of a pesonal evolution from the sea to humanity. I'd really like to see a little more of this to get the context :)
