Big Pharma

Big Pharma

A Poem by Melissa Jamma

He cuts diamonds with his teeth
He eats babies for breakfast
He's running on no sleep

He winds up like a toy
All you gotta do is pull the thread

A little left a little right
Up down
And right again

The Perfect equation
To make him melt

But he cuts diamonds with his teeth
He doesn't play around
He's got it all figured out

He says life is a hard road
But you gotta stay focused on your goals
Never let them see you sweat

He plays life like a game of chess
He knows all his moves

He knows how to play the game
He's got it all figured out

That's exactly who he is
A man who plays the game

Who plays the game big

He played me
He played me good

He thought he had me all figured out
He was running me like a carousel

Thinking he could wind me up
But I threw him a curve ball
And he showed me
He's in it for the show
He's in it for the ups

Don't ever give him any lows
He'll fall, he'll flounder

He'll get knocked down but
He's a winner you know

All big and powerful
On top of the world

Or maybe just an ant hill
