An Alternate Universe

An Alternate Universe

A Poem by Alex Paulsen
"

A short take on mental illness. Originally planned out as song lyrics, I felt the need to emphasise the lack of structure, or differences in structure a patient can possess.

"
Destroyer of the universe
The weak boundary broken
Now contained indifferently
Prisoner to another realm

How exists your sciences
Where laws might not apply?
Far beyond all claims of knowledge
This poor and distant soul.

Do we call this vastness hell
Where neither good nor evil stand
Yet man stil burns and perishes too
But whilst a victim of nothing.

I like this. It's a new idea, I've never heard of or seen the likes of it... bravo.
