Poisoned Love

Poisoned Love

A Poem by KittyVenus
"

more death

"

I was poisoned with love,

You gave the scorpion a shove,

I felt its sting,

I felt my pain sing,

It hurt so much,

As I felt your touch,

Your smile as bright as the moon,

When you sang this tune,

I saw the star,

The sky as black as tar,

Life is death for me,

When will you see,

You killed me,

If only you will let it be.

Some really good imagery here, I feel like you felt forced to rhyme. If you break your perception on rules in poetry you may find that is when you are able to truly capture what you're looking for.

Love the idea of the person that your with being a scorpion, so small...yet they can take down everything.
