Untitled 24

A Poem by Michael Hess

 Summer nights are fading down.

You can see the lights all over town.

I'm with my girl under the stars,

And we're with friends by our parked cars.

Hand me a cold beer

And a strong cigarette.

It's only 2 A.M. here,

The night is far from over yet.
