Closed Circuit

A Poem by BrokenWingedPhoenix

Sense the ever-present sinking, down inside.

Head seems that it’s floating,

As it passes closely by.

Mindless wanderers walking ‘round,

Close and far and near,

Invisible force of power, choking the gray veneer.

Aimless meandering, sorted masses flow.

Forgotten and bewildered,

Disheveled to and fro.

Not knowing how they got there,

Only knowing that they came.

Mind-numbingly existing on this multitude of plain.

Minds tapped out,

A vapid hue.

Dying as they go.

Intelligence is no longer,

The wits escape the few.

Winding and twisting…their synaptic vesicle view.
