What really DEFINES you...

What really DEFINES you...

A Poem by micky

It amazes me how...
those who preach the "lords" word
and go to church are the same ...

Who judge others, always quick to raise an eyebrow
Who always seem to be that "little blue bird"
Who dislike people with tattoos. Frankly I think these people are lame

Just because you go to church on Sunday
doesn't mean that it will define you
It doesn't mean that the lady covered in piercings doesn't bow her head at night

Just because someone lost their way
doesn't mean their sin is worse than what you do
Some people judge by there sight

But what about the blind man that was wise
What about the def girl who spoke the truth
This never made them unfortunate it made them gifted

For they could not fall prey to the worlds lies
Here I stand looking at today's youth
The bible use to be sacred but over time people have shaped and shifted

I'm not saying all Christians and all other cultures are like this, but most are
Don't JUDGE a BOOK by it's COVER, there is still many chapters to read

I agree. Better to have a conversation and create a friend than to cause separation. I enjoyed your view and logic. Would be a better world if we had respect for each other. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I am not a christian, but I do know many people who are like this and it annoys the living hell out of me then again it annoys me to have to deal with anyone who judges by looks and not personalities.

Sincerely, Malister Mikey

It's really sad some people have the urge to hurt others. Nevertheless the poem itself was great!

Oh brother Micky. This process you desribe here is one of this most common things and dare I say nearly an automatic process for some. Either based in looks or the way on speaks or so many other things some feel comfortable wit hclassyfing and putting you into a box. And even though we are a representation of ever evolving entities. Doom if you fall in certain categories, economical implications, cultural and so many others all based in false judgements...

Bringing awarness

Thankyou
