SWEETER?

He takes a breath...

Filled with pain

Filled with sorrow

His mom addicted to meth

His dad questions if he is sane?

His life just a broken tree left hollow 

No person will ever understand!

He doubts there was ever another KID...

So misunderstood

He never got dwelt a fair hand

So he did...

all that he could

Unfortunately his story is to painful to finish

 You see...

Death would of been easier

He prayed for the day his life would diminish

Maybe then he would find serenity

or maybe he thought death would be sweeter

Death is a lousy lover; worm-ridden body with rotten breath.
Taking one's life holds no comforting peace--only unknowing oblivion or, possibly, eternal punishment.
Life is most meant for the young! They must learn to tough it out; the alternative could be infinitely worse.

A sad poem. I lost to brother to suicide. One in 1988 and another in 1989. They thoughts death was sweeter than life. This is a common story for many. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Powerful poem. To contemplate whether or not death would be sweeter than living the life you were given is a really dark place to be in. Too many people are committing suicide, their pain being persistent with loss of hope. Thanks for sharing.
