Law of Nature

I think the law of nature is that everything will keep flowing
Flowing forever
Until it wants to stop

The clouds will rain for however long they please
No mention of the people drenched beneath

The tears will escape your troubled body
Until they are content with the amount they have released
No thought of where they're falling
Or the time of day
Or your current mood

The blood will drip from your cuts
Continuing as long as it would like to bubble and slip down your skin
Tainting your clothing as a reminder of its destruction

No matter how much you want it to stop flowing
No matter how much you need it to cease
It will flow until it is finished
Just like most things in your life, you have no control
Just let go
