Silence

Silence

A Poem by Winter Red Tears
"

Just venting.

"
What is the use of my existence
if I'm ready to go
but my wings are chained down tight
No escape, no more running

Cry louder
Shout out loud
Let them all hear your sorrow prayers

Run faster
Don't look back
There's nothing left for you

I tell myself these lies
hoping one day I'd learn to let go of these useless bonds
My wings are locked down tight
No, I can't get through the dark

After 100 years
I finally looked back
Standing on my own
I silently cry at the walls that I have built

Now I stand on the edge
Losing all the chains
The silence never ends
I wish I never looked back

Fly higher
Reach the skies
then think 'f**k it all' and turn back down

Shoot forward
Reach the end
then think 'f**k it all' and stand right there

I gave up this battle long ago
No longer caring for what I want
No escape, no more wishing
I still took the time to look back
