One Last Dance

One Last Dance

A Poem by Winter Red Tears
"

My fingers typed this themselves, my mind wasn't here when I did this

"
Fingers flowing like a natural river
Dancing over white black keys
Filling silence with the never ending melody
I didn't expect the ice shattering reality

Pieces of my heart are scattered
all over the melody
that you and I have danced through
That was before and now I'm tumbling blindly through the darkness.

Let me go
Release me from this madness
I can't hold onto the world we once shared
'Cause now I'm suddenly tossed into this cruel reality.

Hold me tight
I don't care, keep me in my own illusions
I won't admit that I am yearning for the dance again
I want to hear the melody we created become a harmony again

Clash like the thunder
Beat down like the rain
I don't care if this burns me
All I ask is one last dance

Even if I slip on the ice
As long as it doesn't shatter
I'm sure even the stars will shine upon us
Let the sun and the moon do their part

Because when I wake up
I'll be able to hear the melody again
I'll make it so that we're harmonized again
All I ask is one last dance
