Tears of Time

Tears of Time

A Poem by Mike Defreitas

I will follow
I will follow where ever you take me
I am yours
Enormous waves of possibility rage before me
But I will be calm
The outer turns of my being, burn
Yet inside I shall remain serene
I must walk this nimble tight rope until it widens
Until it becomes a broad board
With time, it will become a sidewalk
Every moment could derail me
Every moment, every moment
Stay still, and Calm, and find your body
Connect with it; warm its frozen waters
Let the tears of pain pour out
Let the years of wandering come to an end
Let yourself flow with time
Flow with being
Flow with other people
Let the tears of Time Wash Away
The fears
