Mother

Mother

A Poem by Mike Defreitas

The moment, the next one, you're looking forward to it.

The thrust of life, bullet into your soul, permeating your chest

You thrust forward, into the wide open arms, holding you.

Your sister pokes you, you poke her. You think

"I wanna tickle you", because she responds with a laugh

When you do it.

Flying affects, into you, into me, holding us together in a

Magical embrace, explosions of positive feeling, centering

Encompassing your body with ease, joy - peace

Lost somewhere, I don't know where. But I know you: remember you

The Feelings with the other; teasing, fighting, giggling, laughing, balling our eyes

And it was in me and you.

I feel arousal, on my neck, a heat, the warmth of hands, my mothers hands

Holding me, loving me, tenderly rocking me, to a rhythm of love

Always a part of me. The feeling on my skin, and knowing "those are your hands".
