Author's Note

MikeGray
Here is the first third of a novel I've been working on called "Darwin's Theories." I'm hoping to make a series of novels from the character and am looking for serious feedback on this work.

Dialogue, characterization, structure, and pace are the biggest areas I'm looking for feedback on. Do you like the character? Is the writing confusing or engaging? Do you think it "works" for the intended audience (a 30+ year-old literate audience that would want to continue to read further stories about this character)?

What doesn't work? Is the structure of the first 1/3 distracting or interesting? Maybe most important: is it funny?
