The Question

The Question

A Poem by Larry Johnson

What, what is racism is it being dowsed with fire hoses, is it police dogs nipping at your heals, is it being denied the right to vote, is it swastikas in mass appeal is it men in long hoods and coats or long nooses hanging around your throat.

What what my friend is racism can you help me is it bombs bricks & bullets or looks so intense you know they wont hesitate to burn lynch or pull it is it Africans coming across seas in long boats in chains or Jews with tattoos’ that etch out all hope. What, what is racism can you help me

Evocative. Good job

I liked it. It did seem really hectic and difficult to read, but then again, that might've been intentional to add to the senselessness of racism. Nicely done! =)
