Lost in the Mountain

Lost in the Mountain

A Poem by Miles

Lost in a storm
My coat is forlorn
I'm cold to the bone
With nowhere to go

The cars pass on by
The people so shy
And I think I might die
While I'm lost in the air

Air of futility
Bathe in dispair
No hope to grope
And you'll never be there

This is my mountain song
As I watch the rain fall

The lightning striking bright
A euphoric fright
Before I come back to reality

I never should've seen that mountain
And wondered what awaited
Now I'm thirteen hours away
With nothing but a soul tainted
