A Poem by Arly Parent

There are certain scars on your skin.
I can't tell how deeply they run,
how much you notice them,
or if you even know they're there.
And it worries me.

After awhile, we don't seem to notice our scars because they remind of that certain bad moment. If we ignore them, we will learn to accept what they are and work towards moving on with our lives. It's all about bettering ourselves and realizing that no life is perfect like how they might have seemed when we were young. Our scars only make us stronger, I believe.

There's nothing about me. I play with pauses as well as silence. I write words, assign meanings and junk, and play with a language that might be as much my own as another. I don't know. more..
