For a moment, babe.

For a moment, babe.

A Poem by milton334

I could live forever in a moment, that is what my first love taught me
I could live forever always passing, these moments in steady continuation,
Now, that is you.
Time speeds away in an ephemeral rhyme
With laughter, cheer, and babble
With non-sequitur and referents to our own meta-musing
I adored you time in time, hand in hand, hold to hold
To hold those moments, passing long, that were so short so fleeting,
so rich because of
       How
       We just SPENT our time
I could live forever in a moment, so my first love let me dream
I might never age as time stood still, as my breathing flesh persisted
and lived ages.

With you, I look back and blink at ages,
transported into an abyss of
memories, dreams and times times times
I miss those times Babe, with you me, sweet golds held tight in the teeth
A match, a lighter, a lost cigarette, all for our amusement, all quick reverie
I’d laugh at all you knew of me
You’d laugh at all you knew of me
And we’d repeat, we’d repeat.

So good to read some gritty good English verse. You are filling in a much needed space in my collection of poets and cohorts. You have something magical... Something... I'll say it Hogwarts! Funny how a good poem inspires another...
I miss those time babe! Favorite line out of many others, for now is the epically smooth use of "E" in this line:
"I miss those times Babe, with you me, sweet golds held tight in the teeth
A match, a lighter, a lost cigarette, all for our amusement, all quick reverie."

F****n divine Milton
and to repeat,
F****n Divine!
;)
