Food should not watch you eat!

Food should not watch you eat!

A Poem by Heath Mindy
"

A teacher could read this to your class, and talk about what foods like like to eat. Ask them if they have ever been to a family pig roast? Or gone fishing and ate the whole fish on there plate.

"
I love culinary, however nothing that was once alive on my plate-
Seeing eyes and tails are just something I would hate.
You can put meat on my dish,
Not the body and eyes, of a fish.
I don't want to see the pig on a platter,
Surely at that moment, I would scatter.
Eating a slice of the pork would be good,
The timing on the rotisserie, it, surely, should,
I'd even help throw on the wood,
Get the fire going, and enjoy the Delicious showing.
Beans slow cooking in the ground,
A family gathered dinner, to be found.
Yet when it's time to eat, and I take my place in my seat,
I prefer not to see the food looking back, at me,
I like the flavor and the fellowship, can't you see?
Add of course a nice crisp fresh ,veggie,
More than one will do.
I do like a little meat, but really like to save room for a sweet!
About a half hour latter, a fresh coffee and a baked dish, with a glazed or sweet lace,
Thankfully for this, nothing ...,will be looking in my face!
There might be grandma with her lick on her napkin to wipe it clean,
Still that is kind of okay, as long as, while I was eating the food had not(me) seen!
Of course I can get my protein in the coarse of a bean.
