To Be Continued

A Poem by misunderstandings of the mind

I think that was you, looking at me.
A haunting stare- both aware
But to what degree?
Our freshness and fervor,
I could sense even then.
I wish I could see you, I want to give in.

She awakened your soul-
This is something you mind.
So you pour another drink,
And do another line.
To ravish or relinquish?
To remain or retire?
Answers thrown away-
Questions here to stay.

I say you've always wanted more.
Someone to adore.

Alas, I was mislead.
And though no tears were shed---
