Your Opinion

Your Opinion

A Poem by missalaynius

What do you think
of my lips, of my eyes?
What should I change
in my hips, in my thighs?
Tell me, what's wrong
with my stomach and arms?
If I lost a few pounds,
would it do any harm?
How should I think?
What should I believe?
Do you like me at all?
Do you like what you see?
What's your opinion?
Do you think I'm sane
Or is something clearly amiss
with my brain?
Is it alright with you
to hear my one song
Or is it really that bad?
Am I really that wrong?
Should I stay silent, still,
Smile sugary sweet;
Should I lay myself down
and whisper defeat?
