We always seem to think we are much better off when we see someone in worse shape than we are in..my mom was blind the last ten years of her life..she still hung on to her belief in God..

when first reading this poem i felt like the writing was a beat weak and simple, but the second half of the poem made me realize the beauty of such simplicity and how this reminded me of a great love story-the movie called "at first sight" about a man who is blind but is a massage therapist and heals with his hands, and he meets a woman who can see, and they fall in love and the romance and how they interact is stunning and amazing, such an inspiration to all, this poem reminded me of that story/movie
