Aurora SkyA Poem by Mizuki Tsukiakari
An angel, unfrozen.
Yet crystallized by snow. Lonely heart broken, Once carved from stone. Ice chipped away, Clear, coarse, cold, To fall from the sky, Flakes white as bone. From the gray sky, Angels of Darkness do cry. Water, wet; fall as rain. Beautiful Moon; Moonlight shines to show this pain. Earth; blankets lay. Trails created as feet pulled. Green eyes to the heavens. Black wings lay low; black feathers scattered, To the earth below. Blow brisk, a wind. Pine rustle. Death; silence. White flakes from green eyes, To ice over pale skin. Blow, Cold, Blow; Frozen. Black wings lay frigid. Life from Death; Death from Life. An Angel of Darkness frozen; Wings lose light. Here, now, fade to white. A Frozen Angel, cries. Destined to trek the land Beneath the Aurora Sky. Eternity; Graced with death, a gift of everlasting beauty. Mizuki Tsukiakari © 2013 Mizuki TsukiakariReviews
