Race

Race

A Poem by MK

The thought of you,

Keeps me going,

Moving forward,

Hoping that I can win,

This race of time,

The more I wait,

The less I feel,

Confident in my ability,

To hold on,

To this hidden dream

And everytime I see you,

It drives me crazy,

And everytime I hear your voice,

I die inside

I keep the dream,

Close to my heart,

Constantly hoping,

I have the strength,

To get back to you,

Yet the more I chase,

The more I run,

The less I feel I can,

Finish this race.

I have felt this same feeling with someone I was in love with (well I think I was). I interpret it as, the longer you wait, the longer it hurts, until you finally lose that person. Nice poem.
