Unspoken

Unspoken

A Poem by Maggy Lauren
"

This poem is about a girl that committed suicide...I never knew her personally, but she had an indirect effect on my life and she touched the lives of many others. RIP Chappelle

"

How would you value the words

of a voice you never knew?

The familiar sound of

“I’ve been there too.”

Because at the end of every tunnel

there may be a light,

but you have to look closely,

it’s not very bright

Before you stop falling

you have to hit the ground

and screaming won’t help

if it doesn’t make a sound

Believe me when I say

“You’ve made it this far,”

instead of questioning your worth

and who you really are

Did you give a second thought

to your family and friends

before selfishly deciding

how your story would end?

But you’re not at fault

for all the tears shed,

it’s all because of the things

that were left unsaid

So would you cherish the words

of a voice you never heard?
