The Challenge (part I of the Glare)

A series of adventurous poems I wrote a while back containing spiritual transcendence and courageous undertaking.

Within the darkness lies a beacon

Glowing brightly through an array of clouds

Somewhere out there is a secret

One that is desperate and needs to be found

Through the valley of grass and trees

Beckons a distant flashing beam

One that is illuminated and mysterious

The kind that the heroes only dream

In the clouds lies a dormant man

Who stands waiting at the gate

Needless to say there is more to him

For it is he who holds the faith

As I sit here strumming a tune

And the night falls upon the mist

I hear the calling of an ancient world

One that is full of wonders and myths

So play on my courageous son

A tune that will challenge thee

Let there be wisdom and let there be light

For all who seek will be set free
