Where the Few Stand Proud

Where the Few Stand Proud

A Poem by mnicorata
"

A poem I wrote describing a dystopian world view.

"
Daring enough to cross into plight
Seeing the red changing into green
Fingers touch of what could be
Undertaking the bend of another scene

Eyes staring straight ahead into the abyss
Feeling the embrace of a thousand hands
Enter the champion strewed in gold
As he gallows up the distant lands

Touching winter’s crisp air with might
Growing embers casting into the dew
Fasting feverishly so he could see
Only the rotten have picked so few

Tumbling down to the bottomless grave
Edges cut off so we can say
“Hold on, dear, may we continue”
And sunlight fills the shrouding day

Back on track enough to build
The greatness of a million faces
Let the water take us down
To where the earth divides the races

After going through a series of your work...this just adds to the over-all theme in which you present a different take on things and that goes to show in the way the words develop in your work...I will have to take a break and continue with the rest at another sitting...but surprise you do not have more reviews...but the way your words are in depth...
