The Circle Closes

The Circle Closes

A Poem by mnicorata
"

This poem I wrote about someone who made me feel that I was not alone, thinking that she was special wanting to have her for myself, but I was holding on too much and she made me realize what I did.

"
Inside this dream I realize
How far I took her down
Floating outside this tide
I saw how fast I can drown

Tempted by her wry smile
I took her all in to my own
Those hypnotic catching eyes
Reminded I was not alone

Thoughts about having her
In my ocean made of blue
Her dance charmed me so
How clueless I hardly knew

Fins holding on too tight
That temptress of my dreams
She spoke to me rightfully
Tugging at all those seams

Spoke to me in plain sight
Past all those fake illusions
I knew my water grew still
As she picked my delusions

Humbly so and within right
Beyond my eyes she gazed
I cried out my last goodbye
She floats through that haze

Here I rest in my corner
My oceans still and I cry
She looked inside my mind
And never did say goodbye

Those tidal pools of tears
Wait for her return once more
At times I imagine her snake
Something I dreamed from before
