A Poem by Christopher Michael Smith
"

excerpt from first published book, "Armageddon's Gate" 2005.

"
FAITH IN GUNS!!! FAITH IN GUNS!!!

Preying to your metal armored Gods destroying minds.
Racing across lands to prostitute war crimes.
Powerful politicians accepting the dollar for bribes.
Not even knowing the tally of the bystanders on the Muslim's side.
Religious WAR!!! Religious WAR!!!
Fundamentalists on both sides of the equation picking the sore.

"You cannot build that nuclear power plant!
I said so,
I am the president of the USA.
What I allege goes!!!"

No equality, America has to hate somebody.
He figured it out on his desk with the Bible to his side.
The fourth horse of the apocalypse he rides.
Proud to be an American
Mental play back in his head
A b***h to his false religion, where Santa comes on a flying sled.
Unloading vicious nonsense on a treaty he just signed:

"I have the power to dictate anything that I desire.
Who will punish me, you cannot get any higher?"
Micah 7 in his own religious holy attire.
Check it out.
A look and see.
An Anti-Christ leading U.S. from sea to sea.
Imposing laws on distant lands.
Erecting death to innocent fans.

......rebound.....recoil.....
DESTROY OR BE DESTROYED!!!

Worldly race of unforgiving sins
Flaming up history with mistakes again and again.
Burning in the future history books of Red Dragon and Bear.
WWIII materialized from the thinness of the air.
More reign for death and die in a day than many countries have as their populated stay.
Nuclear War...
What else in store?
Biogenesis in labs on the tables and stands.
Playing God while Niger is dying from famine, hungry hands.
Why not FEED the children who NEED?
CONCEIT!!! CONCEIT!!!

"Sorry, the money is for research and the destruction of man.
This is a war, we don't have time for that now, next plan."

WARNINGS AROUSED, TERRORISTS ABOUND.
SELLING CIGARETTES TO THE YOUNG MINDS AROUND TOWN.
The salesman down the street knows Bin Laden and even shook his hand.
Patience a virtue, nothing but time, an hour glass full of sand.
Infidels arriving on shores to destroy the ways of the land.
CRUSADE WARS, APPROACHING MANY SHORES...
......a burning bush imposing his decisions, his own demands.
Appearing to burn yet still standing firm.
Ironic or symbolic, an infecting germ.

TIME SPEEDING.......
THE QUICKENING.....
THE QUICKENING.....

Too much hate, Mother Nature is infuriated too.
A battle between three entities.
NOT TWO!!! NOT TWO!!!
.....man vs. man....
....religion vs. religion.....
....Nature vs. humanity's decisions.....
I will take the bids for who will win.
Even though mammon will soon to be nothing.
Worthless in the NEW AGE of HYPOCRISY.
SIN.............SIN.............SIN............
Airwaves passing idiosyncratically numbing the mind.
When the power goes you had better run out and hide.
World War III, BILLIONS die, burned alive

not ready, not yet
need to change the mind flow of imperfection.
a vision, a lead
mentalities cancerous to the religious fiends.
a concept, a truth
knowledge no longer a tool being used.
a follower, a sheep
jesus's false worshipers picked apart by the disease.

Classified files from the thoughts of the mind and I,
We need a revolution to destroy the infidels in plain sight.
Time ticking by hour by hour.
America the rotten, America the sour.
Their hope fell with the collapse of the Twin Towers.

Pretty vivid images, and lots of anger. You don't mind telling it like it is, do you? "The new age of hypocricy" and "their hope fell with the collapse of the Twin Towers" both stuck out as individual lines, but I found a lot to like. TIME SPEEDING UP... as it seems to do in bad times. THE QUICKENING...as in coming to life. THE QUICKENING...repeated as if time is running ever faster toward the very end of the world itself because of all these things you list. Enjoyed the read.
