Dark Veil

Dark Veil

A Poem by Christopher Michael Smith

As I lay my hand upon this horizon
&
Watch a dark veil of hollow
&
Emptiness
Come down
Upon
Thee

Eye see into its waves of pure destruction
&
Every one keeps doing the same things
Like nothing
Is even
Happening
At all

I trace the steps along the milky pathway
&
Long to rediscover those distant galaxies
Digging to remember
All those
Sacred geometries
&
Astrological personalities
To help me
Be

As the atmosphere melts upon false lines
&
Clouds faintly cover all sides
I crawl an inch closer
To the smell
To claim my death
Lay victory to this Hell
And I scream
For just one thing

Can’t be heard
It is too empty
No air
For these frequencies
The darkness
Laying claim
To all
Every thing
No eye can see
No brain can think
We can only
Just
Sink

Into the oblivion
Into the new millennium
The age of Aquarius
Hidden within that dark seam
&
It consumes
All that resumes
&
Conquers all things
Equally.

Some scatter
Some dream
Some lay dormant
As the sphere
Swoops deeper into our being

All hopeless
Left alone
Meandering thru hollow stitches
&
No place to call home

Dark veil claiming
All those aiming
To be something they are not
Not being true to themselves
Or
Ewe

Sinking in the ether
Of that dark spherical fever
The hell they thought was
Was nothing at all
An empty experience
The only Hell
Laying claims
To the ones
That have to
Fall.
