Devils Pawn

Devils Pawn

A Poem by momochiloves

The chair in the corner
has patterns that have faded
and faces have come and gone
what once you sat on
i thought of calling a devils pawn
only bringing me sadness and thoughts that are left to haunt
the stare it throws with its sleeping eyes wide open
send messages through the pain from your token
your note that slipped to tell me good bye
fell when i realized what laid inside
i left it there safe and subtle
but I'm falling into the deep black puddle
and waiting for you to come and save me
but they let the poison enter me
through my own hand
and saw the light come over me
while laying straight up
the whispers sent behind my ear
when i sat in your deep faded chair
now, just a new face that they can’t erase.

Honestly i am going to say i enjoyed reading this even know it's a bit confusing. So is the chair a collection of faces?
