Karma

now you've done it

I recognize this path

And I clearly remember this scene

This is where a heart gets broken

And love quickly fades to a dream

Except it's not me breaking your heart

It's you breaking mine

Just tearing it to pieces

One day at a time

 

How bittersweet karma can be

When it comes to reality

I'm getting what I deserve and more

I know the game I've played it before

We all feel karma now don't we?

Very powerful, totally hits home. I understand completely and can totally relate, and that is something I really love about poetry, If I can really relate to a poem it makes me like it about a hundred times more, so this one is really enjoyable for me. I love the emotions and the irony of it

Nice to see the "breaking my heart" poem from the POV of someone who deserves it rather than someone who doesn't for a change. Nice intro lines, although the final line feels a little trite.

I really like this. Nicely written and I feel the bittersweet pain in this as the person realizes what they put out comes back home to roast eventually.
