Golden tongue

Golden tongue

A Poem by Monday Parker

You have this way of

Speaking your way

Back into my heart

When I have gathered the thoughts that

This is not going to work out

You whisper your way back in

You have me wrapping you up in my arms

Whispering back that I will never leave you

When just today

I was mentally packing my bags

Thinking of my passage

Which road I will take

Then here you come with your golden tongue

Changing my plans

 The choice I had made.

Whispering your way back into my heart.

Silver tongue, golden tongue...it's all the same, isn't it? Promises, promises, promises! Great write...you truly expressed the very sentiment that I'm sure a lot of people would love to say and you did it so very eloquently. Good job.

I planned me escape for months - mentally packing as you put it ... and one day - those whispered words didn't mean that much.
