Puppet Show

Puppet Show

A Poem by Monday Parker

She wants the perks of the partner

Interacts like you are still her husband

Her right hand

When your mine.

I am continuously feeling the weight and darkness of her presences

Day-to-day

And

I

Don’t

Like

It

I am wise enough to understand co-parenting.

I have a balanced perspective of what it is

I co-parent also…Somewhat smoothly

Without daily interactions

Or text messages.

She wants to have her cake and eat it too.

This narcissist wants to play puppets

Like I can’t see the strings

I have been holding on to these scissors

To remain cohesive keeping the drama low

But she keeps pulling and playing this

Little cat and mouse game

Effecting my energy and light.

I live my life with the outlook of

Do no harm, but take no s**t

My husband is not her marionette

And this puppet show is over.
