There is just something I love about a poem that is short, to the point and full of so much meaning. It is like good frame work for a house where the reader can decorate it with their own impression without being told it's exact meaning with some long winded, wordy prose. This is one of those poems that though you wrote it, I can make its meaning mine too. Thank you.

This one reads as if she's still mustering the strength to walk away. It appears the mind is preparing for it, but she's hesitating. Perhaps there are fond memories, maybe hope that's causing the delay. Much to ponder in a few short poetic lines.

Am I allowed to like a poem for its shape, before I've even read it? It gave me the immediate impression of a departing shadow and I was amazed to find that the words told the same story. Intentional or not - don't change a thing!

Concise and clever. Good flow carried through out. This feels finished to me but I still wanted to see more (that is a good thing). Have you thought of extending it?
