Alone Together

Alone Together

A Poem by monike
"

She in one room he in the next.

"

She wanders through the empty hall,

Unknown and unseen to all,

She wanders

Unknown,

Unseen.

He wonders in a cold bed,

Questions and worries in his head,

He  wonders,

Questions,

Worries,

They see the same light,

Streaming through the curtains at night,

They are alone together.

Moonbeams through cotton curtains,

Running through their empty eyes,

To their minds,

Touching their troubled souls,

Grasping their broken,

Worried hearts.

The cloud over the moon,

Clouds his thoughts,

Wavers her pace,

Stopped,

In clear thought,

He sees her,

She feels him.

One only for the other,

Known,

Not alone,

Broken hearts repaired,

A broken inch stitched,

With every minute of rising sun,

Every worry gone,

With the falling of the moon.

Together,

He knows her,

She calms his questions,

There is only her for him,

Him for her,

At the rise of every sun,

At the fall of every moon.

I have quickly become a fan of your poesies.
I love the candid expressions of life that have
lyrically resonated through me.
This is a deeply heartfelt piece that is
unfortunately a truth for me.
The cloud over the moon,
Clouds his thoughts,
Wavers her pace,
Stopped,
In clear thought,
He sees her,
She feels him.
Nicely done.
