These Eyes

These Eyes

A Poem by Moonbug

These eyes are smothered
When you allow them to see you
For what you truly are.
These eyes are bloody
When you force them to look
Directly into your razor world.
These eyes are squinting
Into the darkness you use to conceal yourself.
These eyes are frightened,
And yet wide with curiosity.
