Time Passes, Friendship Goes?

Can you relate to leaving friends, believing that you will see them again, and holding onto that belief?

Farewell, Farewell! I'm sure we'll meet again.

Farewell, Farewell! I'm sure it won't be the end.

Like petals scatter,

No one can fully erase the laughter.

Like the velvet-dark night,

Our smiles, the stars, will shine outright. 

I remember ...

Screaming, "it will be all right."

I remember ...

Being a madman, searching for the promises, the false light.

But, now ...

Walking down the road we shared together,

Can I believe in the word: "forever"?

Alone, with only one set of footprints in the sand,

I feel that our meeting is close at hand.

The picture reminds me of Meiko and Luka for some strange unknown reason. *shrugs* of course everyone should be able to relate to this short, but meaningful poem ^^ I mean, that's the experiences of growing up, loss, but always gaining ^^ unless you're like a hermit and you never had friends. Then that's very sad. Well this poem is sure to make the reader reflect on their old friends, and maybe bring tears to their eyes. Like it did to me... I love how you ended it off with the notion the narrator still has faith in seeing their old friends in the past ^^ but ppl change. For better or worse. I loved this ^^ let me read more of your stuff! Onegaishimasu! (・ω・)ノ
